What happens if I never pay you again?
Nothing. That's the point. Owned licenses don't expire, every update is included, and sync across your devices comes with the app. Your data is stored on your device, and syncs through our servers when you're online. Export it any time as a standard SQLite file that opens in any SQLite tool, or as an encrypted backup protected by a passphrase only you know.
Do I have to subscribe to Kaia?
No. Kaia is optional, today and always. Every purchase includes Taste, a free version of Kaia with 20 messages a week and a weekly Compass report, and you can add a paid plan whenever you want — or never. Every Kaia plan is an add-on to Core, so you buy Core first. Cancel a plan and everything you bought in step 1 keeps working exactly as before. And if you try Kaia and it is not for you, any Kaia payment is refundable in full within 30 days — canceling is not your only way out.
How do the weekly limits work?
Each Kaia plan has a weekly allowance: Light is 35 messages and 15 voice minutes a week, Everyday is 70 messages and 48 voice minutes, and Executive is 140 messages and 100 voice minutes. The allowance refills every week, not every month, so a busy week never leaves you waiting weeks for a reset. If you reach the limit, Kaia pauses until your weekly allowance renews. The rest of the app keeps working.
Which Kaia plan should I pick?
Light ($7.99 a month) suits a quick daily check-in by text, with a little voice. Everyday ($24.99 a month) is for people who plan with Kaia every day and talk to it often. Executive ($49.99 a month) doubles Everyday for heavy use. Every paid plan includes the daily, evening, and weekly Compass reports. You can change plans anytime.
Why is there a subscription at all?
Because AI costs us real money every month, and charging once for something that costs us monthly is how companies go bankrupt — or get acquired and ruin everything. We charge a subscription for exactly the thing that costs us one: Kaia. Sync and calendar connections come with Core.
Monthly or annual — which should I pick?
Monthly is the smallest commitment — perfect for trying Kaia for real. Annual costs eleven months of the monthly price, so you get one month free (Light is $87.99 a year, Everyday $274.99, Executive $549.99). You can switch anytime, any payment is refundable in full within 30 days, and the app keeps working regardless. Annual is not a trap.
What happens if Mind Your Now (the company) disappears?
If you own MYN, the app keeps working on devices you've already set up, even if our servers go away. You'd lose sync, Kaia, calendar connections and setting up new devices. Keep a SQLite export or an encrypted backup.
I already pay for ChatGPT/Claude. Do I have to pay twice?
No — that's what Kaia with your own AI key is for: Kaia text on your own OpenAI API key, with no weekly message limit from us, for $3.99/mo (or $39/yr). Your text usage bills to your own OpenAI account at its rates. It's the cheapest way to run Kaia if you're technical. It takes OpenAI API keys only, we pick the model, and voice doesn't use your key.
What does the Founder's Edition discount on Kaia cover?
Founder's Edition owners get 20% off any Kaia plan for their first year: one annual payment, or the first 12 monthly payments. After that, the plan renews at its regular price.
Do the prices include sales tax?
No. Prices are shown before tax, and any applicable sales tax is added at checkout. Purchases are currently available to customers in the United States only.
Refunds, honestly
Ask within 30 days of any charge you make on this site and we refund it in full — the app, the Family Pack, the Founder's Edition, and any Kaia payment alike. No reason needed and no conditions attached. You can also cancel Kaia whenever you like; it keeps working until the period you already paid for runs out.
We'll be straight with you about what a license refund does and does not do. It ends future downloads, re-issuing your license to a new device, and the account features tied to it. Nothing reaches into your device and takes the app back. That is the honest consequence of selling you software instead of renting it to you.
