What happens if I never pay you again?
Nothing. That's the point. The app keeps working with every feature you paid for, gets every update we ever ship, and never contacts our servers. Your data is a file on your device — open it with any tool, any time, forever.
Do I have to subscribe to Kaia?
No. Kaia is optional, today and always. Every purchase includes a free daily taste of her, and you can add a full plan inside the app whenever you want — or never. Cancel a plan and everything you bought in step 1 keeps working exactly as before.
What does "fresh budget every Monday" mean?
Your Kaia allowance — 60 chats and 80 voice minutes — resets every week, not every month. If you have a chaotic week and use it all by Thursday, you're never stuck waiting three weeks for a monthly reset: Monday morning you're full again. And even inside a busy week, we slow Kaia down gently instead of cutting her off.
Why is there a subscription at all?
Because AI and sync servers cost us real money every month, and charging once for something that costs us monthly is how companies go bankrupt — or get acquired and ruin everything. We charge a subscription for exactly the things that cost us one. Nothing else.
Weekly, monthly, or annual — which should I pick?
Weekly ($2.99) is the smallest possible commitment — perfect for trying Kaia for real. Annual ($89, works out to $1.71 a week) is the best value by far. Monthly sits in between. You can switch anytime, and you keep the app forever regardless.
What happens if Mind Your Now (the company) disappears?
Your app doesn't. There's no activation server to die and no license check to fail. If we vanished tomorrow, Kaia subscribers would lose the cloud features — but the app and your data would be completely untouched.
I already pay for ChatGPT/Claude. Do I have to pay twice?
No — that's what Bring Your Own Key is for. Paste in your own API key and you get full Kaia with unlimited chats for $5/mo (or $45/yr); your AI usage bills to your own account at your provider's rates. It's the cheapest way to run Kaia if you're technical. One caveat: talking to Kaia by voice needs an OpenAI key specifically — that's the API her voice is built on. With an Anthropic or Kimi key you get everything except voice (or you can try our Gemini voice path, which works but is still beta quality).
I'm an existing subscriber from the old MYN. What do I get?
A discount on the app as a thank-you for being early, and if you keep your subscription running, a bump to a smarter Kaia at your current price. You’ll be migrated first in the beta, with a guided export of all your data.
Refunds, honestly
Every purchase comes with a 30-day "it should just work" refund, no questions asked.
We'll be straight with you about what that means for software you own outright: a refund stops future downloads and account features; nothing can reach into your device and take the app back. That is the honest consequence of selling you software instead of renting it to you.
