Schedules
A schedule is a set of time windows in your week, such as "Weekday mornings, Monday to Friday, 8am to 12pm". Give a task a schedule, and when the app puts the task on your calendar it places it inside those windows.
Where schedules live
Go to Settings → Scheduling. Your schedules are listed on the left; the one you select opens on the right.
Create or edit a schedule
- Click Add New Schedule, or select a schedule in the list.
- Type a Schedule name, and pick the time zone it uses.
- Add time blocks:
- In the weekly calendar, drag across a day to add a block. Drag a block to move it, or drag its edge to change its length. Use a block's delete button to remove it.
- Or turn on List View to add blocks as simple time slots: click Add Event, then choose the day, start time and end time.
- Click Save Changes. Cancel discards your edits.
To delete a schedule, use the delete button beside it in the list.
Choose a default
Click the star beside a schedule to make it the default for new tasks. Click it again to remove the default.
Start from ready-made schedules
Reconfigure Schedules opens a set of ready-made schedules grouped by the kind of day you have, for example Anytime, Lunchtime, Weekday mornings, Kids at School and Focus Hours. Pick the ones that fit, or choose Use defaults.
Give a task a schedule
- Open the task.
- Open Scheduling.
- Turn on Auto-schedule ("Find a slot for it on your calendar").
- Under Time windows, choose a schedule in Select a schedule. You can add more than one.
Lock its time keeps a task where it is: planning and rescheduling leave it alone.
Auto-scheduled tasks are placed around the events on your connected calendars. To place them again now on a computer, open Calendar, open Filters and choose Run the scheduler now. See Calendar connection.
