52.0 — The whole app, rebuilt to feel right
Version 52 is the largest quality release in Mind Your Now's history. We put every screen through a relentless review loop — comparing each one, side by side, against the best apps on the platform — and kept iterating until every single area passed. Completing a task, adding one, moving through the app, checking your calendar: all of it is faster, smoother, and more satisfying than it has ever been.
✨ New
- A completely rebuilt desktop tutorial. The old tour is gone — replaced with a hand-built, fast, elegant walkthrough that shows new users around without flicker, clutter, or dead ends. It also fixes the long-standing bug where the tutorial could break mid-way.
- Task completion that feels physical. Checking off a task now draws the check, collapses the row, and ticks the counters in one fluid motion — with haptic feedback on your phone. Habits and chores got the same treatment.
- A motion system across the whole app. Screens, sheets, filters, and lists now share one motion vocabulary — quick, physical, interruptible — instead of hard cuts. Tab switches glide, list changes crossfade, and nothing teleports.
- Your daily debrief is now a moment. The end-of-day review opens as a presentation-grade story of your day rather than a report.
🛠 Improved & fixed
- The app is dramatically faster. Opening a task now responds within a single frame on repeat visits. First-time screen loads start almost instantly (initial paint went from over 2 seconds to under half a second), the app boots without flashing, and scrolling long lists stays smooth throughout.
- Navigation feels instant. Moving anywhere — tabs, tasks, back again — is snappier, with screens prefetched before you land on them and no more skeleton flashes on pages you've already seen.
- Quick capture is sharper. Adding a task flows straight from your keyboard, with live feedback as your entry is understood.
- Calendar polish throughout. Day changes glide, week changes keep their bearings, all-day events count honestly, and event colors follow one coherent scheme.
- Chore icons render as icons again — no more raw text where a picture belongs.
- Timer controls are accessible to screen readers, and running timers, syncing changes, and offline states all show honest, visible status.
- Signing back in mid-session is seamless — if your session expires, you're returned to exactly where you were.
